controversies of IPL on kochi team...

Kochi has got an IPL team and now controversies are following. Today there is a major war of words between IPL commissioner Lalit Modi and Shashi Tharoor , Union Minister of State for External Affairs, on the team.

The public spat between the IPL commissioner Lalit Modi and Minister of State for External Affairs Sashi Tharoor took a serious turn on Tuesday, with the minister saying Modi's Twitter posts are "an extraordinary breach of all propriety", designed to discredit the Indian Premier League's Kochi franchise, Rendezvous Sports World.

Modi says after the issue came up "We are very happy that Kochi has got an IPL team, and for this we are extremely thankful to the role played by Dr Shashi Tharoor, who himself said he would be mentor of the team".

New Teams In IPL T20..

Pune and Kochi are the two new teams for the forthcoming editions of the Indian Premier League.

Sahara Adventure Sports Group successfully won the Pune franchise after they bid the highest amount of US $370 million (Rs 1702 crore), while the Kochi team was won by a consortium, Rendezvous Sports World Limited, for a whopping amount of $333 million (Rs 1533.33 crore), for a period of ten years.

The addition of two new teams takes the total number to ten, which means that the number of matches played will go up from 60 to 94 from the fourth season in 2011.
